Our Process

Arrange
Any set in Illuminations begins with the Musical Directors selecting which songs to perform.
Once the song/s have been selected the Musical Directors will then write a unique arrangement of that song tailor made to Illuminations.
This means every arrangement we use is completely original and exclusive to performances from Illuminations

Rehearse
Under the guidance of the musical directors, the group will then learn and refine this arrangement both in group rehearsals and through independent learning until it is performance ready.
Depending on the performance, the Performance Director will then choreograph the piece and this will be learnt in both in group choreo rehearsals and independently with guidance from the PD.

Perform
Once the group have learnt the music and choreo, it gets to our favourite bit, the performing!
The group will put on their signature orange and black performance gear, warm up, get on stage and wait for the pitch pipe to blow!
